iLivestock is rolling out a major update to the animal recording section in the app, specifically the Animal Summary and Animal Details areas. The refresh introduces a cleaner user experience and a range of improvements designed to make livestock record management quicker, clearer, and more consistent across sheep and cattle.
As one of the most-used parts of the platform, the update focuses on improving how farmers view, edit, and manage animal information across both sheep and cattle.
The refreshed screens retain the core functionality users already know, while introducing a cleaner layout and more intuitive workflows. New fields have been added for sheep records, including place of birth, country of origin, purchase and sale information, and price per kilo, helping farmers capture more complete animal data.
Several workflows have also been improved, including tag replacement, batch management, and group visibility. Farmers can now edit archived animal details, manually replace cattle tags, and access group information directly from an individual animal view.
Alongside the new functionality, some older fields and sections have been removed or restructured to support more accurate and future-ready data management.
The update forms part of iLivestock’s continued focus on improving usability across the platform based on real customer feedback.
Users will begin seeing the updated animal recording experience roll out from mid-May 2026.
