iLivestock welcomes Scottish Government visit

iLivestock welcomed Tom Arthur MSP, Minister for Business and Fair Work, to its Scottish office on 9 July 2026, as part of a Scottish Government summer tour of businesses aligned with key economic and innovation priorities.  Mr Arthur was joined by Mark Lawson and Kirsty Macdonald from the Scottish Government for a visit introducing iLivestock’s precision agriculture technology, growth plans and contribution to Scotland’s agri-tech sector.

Duradiamond Software Ltd, trading as iLivestock, is a Scotland-based agri-tech company providing software and connected hardware that helps sheep and beef farmers manage livestock more easily, accurately and cost-effectively. The company employs 21 people in Scotland and currently has more than 1.1 million animals recorded on its platform.

During the visit, Mr Arthur met CEO and Co-Founder Ewen Wardman and CCO and Co-Founder Jamie Pugh, toured the office and manufacturing area, and saw a demonstration of iLivestock’s livestock management platform alongside a Cowcatcher cattle crush supplied by Weber’s Farm Service, iLivestock’s exclusive distributor in Canada.

The demonstration showed how iLivestock combines smartphone software with connected weighing and RFID/EID hardware to support animal record keeping, compliance, traceability and better on-farm decision-making in practical livestock handling environments.

Following the tour, Mr Arthur joined Ewen and Jamie for a discussion about iLivestock’s growth, innovation, exports, intellectual property and the wider agri-tech industry.

Ewen Wardman, CEO and Co-Founder of iLivestock, said:

“Welcoming the Minister was a great opportunity to show how Scottish-built technology can support farmers with practical, real-world challenges.”

Jamie Pugh, CCO and Co-Founder of iLivestock, said:

“We were pleased to discuss iLivestock’s growth plans and the wider opportunity for Scottish agri-tech in the UK and international markets.”

The visit highlighted iLivestock’s role as a growing Scottish agri-tech business working across agriculture, technology, data and manufacturing, with ambitions to continue scaling in the UK and internationally.
