iLivestock Explores Collaboration at Algeria–UK Agri-Tech Forum

iLivestock attended the Algeria–UK Agri-Tech Forum in London on 27 November 2025, hosted by the Embassy of Algeria, to explore opportunities for international collaboration in advancing agricultural innovation and sustainable livestock production.

The forum brought together key stakeholders from Algeria and the UK, including the Algerian Embassy, the Algerian Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, the Algeria British Business Council (ABBC), and the West London Chambers of Commerce (WLCC), to discuss strategic priorities such as irrigation expansion, self-sufficiency in cereals, meat, and dairy, and the development of modern agricultural infrastructure. Algeria’s government also highlighted the importance of technology adoption and investment to improve productivity, efficiency, and sustainability across the country’s vast agricultural landscape.

Livestock presents both challenges and huge opportunities. Disease control, herd management, and monitoring animals across remote areas were highlighted as areas where innovation and better systems can make a real difference. At iLivestock, we’re passionate about helping farmers and industry partners tackle these challenges with practical, data-driven solutions that make life easier and more productive on the ground.

The event also highlighted Algeria’s openness to foreign investment and potential collaboration with UK companies. We left inspired by the possibilities and are keen to explore how iLivestock’s expertise in data-driven livestock monitoring could support improvements in Algeria’s livestock and agricultural ecosystem over time.
